SC Heerenveen have allowed striker Uğur Yıldırım to join Turkish side Gaziantepspor and have lost their president Koos Formsma.

Dual nationality
The 25-year-old Yıldırım, who holds Dutch and Turkish passports, won a solitary cap for the Netherlands in a friendly game against England on 9 February 2005 and joined Heerenveen from Go Ahead Eagles in 2004. A club statement read: "Yıldırım wanted to play in the Turkish league and Heerenveen decided to give their co-operation." He scored 12 goals in 83 games over three seasons at Heerenveen, who are gearing up for the 2007/08 UEFA Cup. Meanwhile, the club's president has stepped down after just six months in charge citing business commitments. The 50-year-old Formsma was appointed last October.
