Braga seal Jorginho coup

A day before they enter the draw for the UEFA Cup first round SC Braga have strengthened their attacking options by signing FC Porto striker Jorginho.

Title winner
Jorginho, who won two titles, one Portuguese Cup and a Portuguese Super Cup during his two seasons at Porto, has signed a four-year deal with Jorge Costa's side. The 30-year-old Brazilian first arrived in Portugal when he signed for Vitória FC in 2001/02 and attracted the interest of Porto after scoring 38 goals in 128 league appearances over four years. Meanwhile, Braga have renewed Andrés Madrid's contract, tying the 26-year-old Argentinian to the club until 2012. "I'm very happy," said Madrid whose release clause will cost interested clubs approximately €7.5m. "I promise to keep up the good work in order to repay the faith that the club has put in me.”
