Article body
Mickaël Pagis risks missing the first leg of Stade Rennais FC's UEFA Cup first-round tie against FC Lokomotiv Sofia on 20 September with a sprained ankle.
Upcoming derby
The 34-year-old striker has been ruled out for about 20 days after wrenching the joint in his side’s 2-2 Ligue 1 draw against LOSC Lille Métropole last weekend. A summer signing from Olympique de Marseille, Pagis's injury has also seen him ruled out of the Breton derby against FC Lorient. Midfielder Olivier Thomert and Ghana centre-back John Mensah should be fit for the game in Bulgaria, though, after starting full training again after recovering from knocks.
