FC Basel 1893's Argentinian international goalkeeper Franco Costanzo has extended his contract with the UEFA Cup hopefuls until the summer of 2011.

FC Basel 1893 goalkeeper Franco Costanzo has extended his contract with the UEFA Cup hopefuls until the summer of 2011.

Argentina cap
The 27-year-old arrived at Basel during the summer of 2006 from CD Alavés and has since played more than 70 games in league, cup and UEFA competitions for the club. The former CA River Plate custodian also has one cap for Argentina to his name. This season he has played 16 league matches for the Swiss Super League leaders, who will meet Sporting Clube de Portugal in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 this month.
