Vaslui forge on amid Swiss celebrations

A victory for SC Vaslui ensured that there will be five Romanian sides in Friday's UEFA Cup first round draw, while FC Zürich and AC Bellinzona starred in dramas with happy endings for Swiss fans. Goalkeeper Johnny Leoni helped Zürich beat SK Sturm Graz on penalties after 1-1 draws in both legs of their tie, while Bellinzona recovered from a 3-2 defeat at FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, winning 2-1 at home to progress on away goals.

Sebastian Szałachowski hit the post for Legia ten minutes later, but the hosts doubled their lead four minutes after the restart when Kuzmin beat goalkeeper Ján Mucha in a one-on-one. At the other end, Takesure Chinyama's overhead volley flew over the crossbar before Legia forward Roger Guerreiro was dismissed with 12 minutes remaining.
