RC Deportivo La Coruña centre-back Pablo Amo will be out of action for another three months following a second operation on an achilles tendon problem after breaking down on his return to training last week.

UEFA Cup absence
The 30-year-old, who made 19 Spanish Liga appearances last season but has yet to feature this term, was beginning his recovery from an operation carried out in July when he broke down in training with pain in his left leg. "The results of the surgery are good," a club statement read. "Pablo Amo will be immobile for three weeks and will take two months to regain fitness and a further four weeks until he can play again." The Galician side made a poor start in UEFA Cup Group H, losing their opening match 3-0 at PFC CSKA Moskva. They do not play on Matchday 2 and are next in action at home to Feyenoord on 27 November.
