Zatko takes up Púchov post

Slovakian Cup winners ŠKM Púchov have appointed coach Stefan Zatko as a replacement for Frantisek Komnacký.

Slovakian Cup winners ŠKM Púchov have appointed coach Stefan Zatko as a replacement for Frantisek Komnacký.

Return home
The Czech coach, who led Púchov to the Cup triumph and fifth place in the Superliga, left the side at the end of the season to return home and take charge of FC Baník Ostrava.

Surprise choice
He is replaced by Zatko, who was previously in charge of second division Topvar Topolcany. The 41-year-old's first match with his new side will be the UEFA Cup preliminary round tie against Georgian side FC Sioni Bolnisi.

Coaching changes
Four of the ten top-flight Slovakian sides have recently changed coaches, with FC Dukla Banská Bystrica, FC Spartak Trnava and FK ZTS Dubnica making changes earlier this month while ŠK Slovan Bratislava are still without a coach following the departure of Dusan Radolský to Polish side KS Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski.
