Breakthrough season
The UEFA Europa League contenders have not released any further details of the transfer of the 19-year-old who had signed a four-year contract with Leeds last September. Delph enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season at the Yorkshire club last term, playing 42 league games and scoring six goals as well as making his England Under-21 debut. He is Villa's second major signing of the summer after their acquisition of winger Stewart Downing from relegated Middlesbrough FC. The Birmingham club enter the inaugural UEFA Europa League in the play-off round and will find out their opponents at Friday's draw.
