Sarajevo hold their nerve

FK Sarajevo broke SK Sigma Olomouc hearts by earning a place in the UEFA Cup by virtue of a penalty shoot-out.

Osmanhodzic leveller
Sarajevo fought back from a goal down on the night and 3-1 down on aggregate to level the tie at 3-3 through second-half goals from Emir Obuca and Adnan Osmanhodzic. Extra time produced no further goals, hence the shoot-out in which the hosts triumphed 5-3 to earn a place in tomorrow’s draw.

Sigma open scoring
It had all started so differently for Sigma. Pavel Putík put the visitors 3-1 up in the tie in the ninth minute but the game turned in Sarajevo’s favour in the second half. First Obuca found the net in the 53rd minute and then Osmanhodzic popped up to make it 2-1 on the night with 12 minutes remaining.
