Napoli v Legia background

Napoli will look to become the only side to end this season's group stage with a 100% record, but Legia Warszawa's dream of a top-two finish in Group D is not quite over.

SSC Napoli will look to maintain their imperious form in UEFA Europa League Group D, but Legia Warszawa will be eager to pounce if their hosts have an off day.

• Napoli are confirmed as group winners.

Legia can only qualify if they win and the other game is drawn, since they would then pip FC Midtjylland on goal difference.

Previous meetings
Napoli won 2-0 in Warsaw when the sides met for the first time in UEFA competition on matchday two.

• Napoli's only previous encounter with a Polish club was a 2-0 aggregate victory against WKS Śląsk Wrocław in the 1976/77 European Cup Winners' Cup quarter-finals.

• Legia's 15 games against Italian teams have ended W2 D5 L8 (W0 D2 L5 in Italy). They have not won in the most recent eight of those matches (D3 L5) since a 1-0 success against UC Sampdoria in March 1991.

Form guide
• Napoli are the only side with a 100% record in this season's group stage. They have also scored the most goals (17 – an average of 3.4 per game) and conceded the fewest (one).

• Legia won all three of their qualifying away games this season without conceding, but have lost both of their Group D away games without scoring.

• Napoli made it through to the knockout stage in all three of their previous UEFA Europa League group stage campaigns.

• Legia have made it to the round of 32 in two of their three previous UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League group stage campaigns.

Trivia and links
• The journey from Warsaw to Naples is around 1,350km.

• Napoli's Gonzalo Higuaín turns 28 on the day of the Legia game.

• Legia's Ondrej Duda and Dušan Kuciak play for Slovakia alongside Napoli's Marek Hamšík.

• Legia's Swiss forward Aleksandar Prijovic started his professional career in Italy with Parma FC (2006–08).

• Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina has made 145 UEFA club competition outings – more than any other player in this season's tournament. He is ninth on the all-time list, and will join former Liverpool team-mate Jamie Carragher in eighth if he makes it to 150 games.

The coaches
• Stanislav Cherchesov replaced Henning Berg as Legia coach on 6 October. The former FC Spartak Moskva and Russia goalkeeper led Spartak through the 2007/08 UEFA Cup group stage and repeated the feat with FC Dinamo Moskva last season, his side winning all six games.

• Naples-born Maurizio Sarri replaced Rafael Benítez when the Spaniard left Napoli for Real Madrid CF at the end of last season. Having spent much of his career in the lower leagues, he led Empoli FC into Serie A in 2013/14 and kept them up comfortably last term.
