UEFA Futsal Cup semi-finalists ElPozo Murcia FS lifted the Spanish Futsal Cup for the first time in five years with victory in the eight-team tournament in Cuenca.

It was not easy for Murcia, who began their bid with a 4-3 quarter-final win against Carnicer Torrejón FS while A. Lobelle de Santiago FS beat MRA Navarra FS 4-2, holders Interviú Fadesa saw off Azkar Lugo FS 4-0 and Móstoles 2008 edged past Benicarló Onda Urbana FS 4-3. Lobelle were next up for Murcia on Saturday, and at 2-2 the game went to extra time before Murcia secured another 4-3 success – having concede three equalisers. It was even closer in the other semi-final, as Interviú and Móstoles drew 3-3 before the holders were beaten 4-3 on penalties.
Ciço winner
Móstoles, in their first final, went ahead three minutes into the final through Borja following a corner move, but Murcia responded well and Álvaro equalised just before the break. Either side could have won it from here, but Móstoles goalkeeper Jesús was forced to withdrawn witha face injury and then with nine minutes left Ciço edged Murcia in front and the league leaders held on to lift the cup for the third time. Álvaro said: "Winning all the games by a narrow margin makes victory even sweeter."
