ASD Città di Montesilvano C/5 (ITA, holders)
Montesilvano upset the odds to take Italy's first UEFA Futsal Cup last May on their debut less than 12 months after clinching a maiden Scudetto, though Marca snatched the domestic crown. Coach Fulvio Colini has handed over to his former assistant, Antonio Ricci, who hopes to continue on the path of his mentor despite dealing with various injuries: Cristian Borruto will be unavailable for several months and Cleyton Baptistella, Alex Ghiotti and Stefano Mammarella are also struggling. Captain Marcio Forte said: "We go to Padova as holders and we'll do everything we can to reach a second finals in a row, I don't see ourselves as underdogs. Marca? At this level it would have been difficult to choose opponents so we are ready for this derby, there will be even more fans at the arena. And we hope it will be an Italian team that reaches the finals."

Marca Futsal (ITA, hosts)
Last season Marca dethroned Montesilvano as Italian champions and now they are aiming to end their European reign on their own competition debut. Portuguese coach Tiago Polido can rely on a quality squad who are yet to lose this term. "The group is very strong," he said. "Italian teams play in a very competitive league, but only the pitch will say if it will be a duel between Montesilvano and us, to be honest I think the other teams have a chance. However we will play at home and we don't want to waste this chance."

Slov-matic Bratislava (SVK)
This is Bratislava's fourth appearance at this stage in five years, for the third time under coach Ján Janík. "We know our position," he told UEFA.com. "The games in Padova will be a test for us, if we are able to equal a strong team like Montesilvano, the holders. For sure, we are not favourites, but this should be our small advantage. But to be honest, to earn a single point together with no heavy defeats will be a success for us." That is a contrast to their domestic league, where they are yet to drop a point and on course for an eighth straight title.

"We will play against very strong opponents, including the defending champions but still our aim is to qualify for the finals," coach Serhiy Gupalenko said. "We understand that it is going to be difficult, especially of to take into the account our many injured players. However, we are highly motivated and our character should help us to win."
