This page will provide the key details to help with your planning.
🗺️ Accessible travel to and in Stuttgart
There are many facilities in place to support fans with accessible needs when travelling to Stuttgart Central Station, including all platforms providing step-free access, tactile guiding strips and platform access.
Deutsche Bahn trains are generally accessible for fans with limited mobility; carriage doors are wide enough to fit wheelchairs and trains are equipped with dedicated wheelchair spaces.
Booking a Deutsche Bahn train ticket
• Wheelchair spaces on Deutsche Bahn trains must be booked in advance.
• It’s recommended to select a connection with sufficient transfer time.
• Equipment such as walking aids can be carried free of charge.
• Deutsche Bahn have a dedicated Mobility Service Centre (MSZ) to support you with your planning. They can also organise assistance for boarding, transferring or getting off a train.

If you require additional assistance, make sure you inform your airline in advance. It is best to do this at least 48 hours before you start your journey to allow plenty of time for arrangements to be made. Visit the barrier-free page on the Stuttgart Airport website for information on arrivals and departures.
Both the S-Bahn station and tram stop at the airport are barrier-free, allowing fans to continue their journey into the city centre comfortably.
Although driving is not recommended due to high traffic in the city centre, check the map of accessible parking spaces available across Stuttgart (link available in German only).
Barrier-free travel around Stuttgart on public transport is possible, but it's recommended to check your journey on the VVS website (only available in German) to ensure the stops have the correct facilities in place for you.
If you are a wheelchair user and require taxi transportation, “Rolli-Taxi” are available for hire where vehicles can accommodate an occupied wheelchair and carry up to four additional passengers.
For further information for restaurants, shops, hotel, cultural attractions and leisure facilities across the city, check out the Stuttgart Inklusiv website. (All links available in German only.)
