Group C
Olympiacos FC 0-0 RSC Anderlecht
Anderlecht missed the best chance of an evenly contested match when Nabil Jaadi was released into the penalty box by Aaron Leya Iseka and shot wide with only Olympiacos goalkeeper Giorgos Strezos to beat. Midfielder Christoforos Pasalidis posed a threat for the hosts, who finish without a win, but they were reduced to ten men on the cusp of half-time when Giannis Sotirakos was dismissed for a dangerous tackle on Samuel Bastien. However, Anderlecht were unable to capitalise on their advantage in the second half, failing to create openings despite dominating possession.

Group E
FC Schalke 04 5-1 FC Basel 1893
Schalke were already through at kick-off but did not let up, with a wonderful early goal from distance struck by right-back Daniel Koseler setting the tone. Florian Pick made it 2-0 and though Shpetim Sulejmani responded for Basel, Schalke pressed on. Koseler had a hand in their third, his shot against the woodwork cannoning into the net off goalkeeper Pascal Albrecht. Further efforts from substitute Tim Bodenröder and Pick resulted in a comprehensive victory.

Group F
Olympique de Marseille 4-1 Borussia Dortmund
Marseille ended their campaign in style by consigning Dortmund, who started the game in second place, to elimination. Jeremie Porsan-Clemente and Maxime Lopez netted in quick succession before the interval, ensuring goalkeeper Ibrahima Sy's penalty miss was not costly. Antoine Kisaku increased OM's lead from long distance 19 minutes from time and though Dortmund substitute Said Benkarit converted a penalty of his own late on, Porsan-Clemente swiftly restored the French team's three-goal cushion.

SSC Napoli 2-1 Arsenal FC
With Dortmund losing, the door was open for Napoli to join Arsenal in Monday's knockout phase draw – but only in the event of a win. When Chuba Akpom cancelled out Gerardo Rubino's first-half opener, the Italian side were heading out, only for Gennaro Tutino to score his fifth goal in as many appearances with a powerful shot that Deyan Iliev failed to hold 20 minutes from time. Napoli survived some anxious final moments, prompting scenes of jubilation at full time in Aversa. "We are very happy with this achievement," said coach Giampaolo Saurini. "We are satisfied and proud to move to the next round of the Youth League. It's an amazing experience."

Group G
FK Austria Wien 2-1 FC Zenit
Herbert Gager's team came from behind to book their place in the knockout rounds. Pavel Dolgov had given the visitors a 12th-minute lead, before goals in each half from Peter Michorl and Nikola Zivotic completed the turnaround. Zenit, who come bottom of the section, had Danila Davidenko sent off for a second bookable offence in added time. "We gave Zenit too much space, but we improved after half-time," said coach Gager. "We showed great determination and spirit, and most importantly took our chances."

Club Atlético de Madrid 3-2 FC Porto
Atlético were in the ascendancy when Héctor Hernández registered twice in 14 second-half minutes to wipe out João Graça's opener after the hosts' Arona Sané had been dismissed. Porto subsequently hit back through defender Diogo Verdasca, but Ivi rounded off the scoring to ensure the Spanish side advanced as group winners. "The stakes were high, both teams wanted to win and we were nervous. We came on stronger in the second half and managed to achieve our objective," said Atlético coach Roberto Fresnedoso.
