AS Roma v Manchester City FC: 18.00CET, 17 March
• Manchester City defeated the Giallorossi home (2-1) and away (4-0) in the group stage.
• Both teams progressed to the quarter-finals on penalties, City ousting FC Schalke 04 and Roma eliminating AFC Ajax.
• Patrick Vieira's City are one of two unbeaten sides left in the competition.

Chelsea FC v Club Atlético de Madrid: 16.00CET, 10 March
• Chelsea have won all four of their European home games this season, scoring 15 goals and conceding two.
• Atlético beat Chelsea's London neighbours Arsenal FC 1-0 in the round of 16.
• In Dominic Solanke, the Blues possess the UEFA Youth League's eight-goal leading marksman this term.

SL Benfica v FC Shakhtar Donetsk: 16.00CET, 17 March
• Runners-up last year, Benfica have won their last three home fixtures since drawing 0-0 with FC Zenit on matchday one.
• Shakhtar were twice held 1-1 by Benfica's domestic rivals FC Porto in the group stage.
• In Romário Baldé, Gilson Costa, Gonçalo Guedes, André Ferreira, Ricardo Carvalho, Filipe Ferreira and Hildeberto Pereira, Benfica can call on seven players from their matchday squad for the 2014 final against FC Barcelona.

RSC Anderlecht v FC Porto: 19.00CET, 18 March
• Anderlecht lost 3-0 and 6-3 to Benfica in the 2013/14 group stage.
• The Belgian team ended the reign of holders Barcelona in the round of 16, prevailing 1-0 at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in front of a competition-record attendance of 12,871.
• That record could be broken as the stadium again hosts this fixture.
• Anderlecht and Porto are in uncharted territory – both failed to get beyond the group phase of the last campaign.
