  • Perfect Barcelona are the first team into the round of 16 after defeating Manchester City
  • The Spanish side's second victory over the Citizens means they have won Group C
  • Paris, runners-up last term, and Dynamo Kyiv guarantee top-two finishes
  • Ludogorets Razgrad, who lost all six group games in 2014/15, gain their first point
  • Group winners qualify for the round of 16, runners-up go into the play-offs
  • The Domestic Champions path second round begins on Wednesday with six first legs

Group A
Basel 2-3 Paris Saint-Germain (Liechti 16, Heric 47; Diaby 40, Nkunku 76 80)
Christopher Nkunku's late double – his first was a free-kick from the left that eluded everyone on its way in – means Paris cannot be overtaken by both Basel and Arsenal.

Ludogorets Razgrad 1-1 Arsenal (P Petrov 73; Nelson 33)
Defender Preslav Petrov's close-range strike earned Ludogorets their first point at the tenth time of asking in this competition. Reiss Nelson had set Arsenal on their way, darting in with an angled run before sending a low shot into the net via the far post.

Group B
Benfica 1-2 Dynamo Kyiv (João Félix 18pen; Lednev 47, Alibekov 86pen)
Dynamo were deserved winners in Lisbon, despite playing more than half an hour with ten men after the dismissal of Ivan Kaliuzhnyi. The visitors, six points clear of Benfica and Napoli with two matches remaining, were always the more composed and took a significant step towards clinching the section when Akhmed Alibekov converted a late penalty.

Beşiktaş 0-1 Napoli (Negro 12pen)
A penalty after 12 minutes by Antonio Negro secured Napoli the points, Batuhan Karagöz conceding the spot kick with a foul on Luigi Liguori.

Group C
Manchester City 0-2 Barcelona (Mboula 19, Cucu 45)
Jordi Mboula volleyed the visitors in front after smart wing play by Carles Pérez on the left. With the half-time whistle imminent, left-back Cucu dealt City a hammer blow when he drove right-footed past Daniel Grimshaw from outside the penalty area.

Mönchengladbach 4-1 Celtic (Schikowski 21 28 31, Hanraths 83; Hendry 12pen)
It was as comfortable as the scoreline suggests, with Florian Schikowski plundering a quick-fire hat-trick for Gladbach after Regan Hendry had put Celtic ahead from the spot.

Group D
Atlético Madrid 1-0 Rostov (Navarro 72)
Giovanni Navarro came on as a substitute for Yael Ballesteros after 72 minutes – and scored immediately to settle a tight contest. Some introduction, that. Atlético are now second behind PSV.

PSV Eindhoven 2-0 Bayern München (Friedl 38 og, Verreth 68)
A headed own goal by Marco Friedl set the Dutch side on their way and Matthias Verreth doubled the advantage in the second half with a thumping volley from the edge of the area.
