Group 9: Historic win for Moldova

Moldova have reached the finals of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship.

Perfect record
A 2-1 victory against hosts Armenia in their final Group 9 mini-tournament game ensured that the Moldovans topped the standings with two wins out of two.

Zislis opener
Alexandru Zislis opened the scoring on 21 minutes and a second Moldovan goal from Denis Calincov two minutes later doubled their advantage.

Anxious finale
Armen Petrosyan scored for Armenia in the 80th minute to set up an anxious finale, but Moldova held on to reach the finals, which will be played in Denmark next month.
