Article body
An added-time penalty from Maor Bar Buzaglo took Israel into the UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals in a dramatic Elite round Group 5 finish in Bruck/Mur.
Dramatic end
Israel, having won their two opening games against group hosts Austria and Greece, needed only a draw today, while Romania required victory to have any chance of gaining the one place in offer in Italy. And it seemed their chances were revived when Andrei Mutulescu put them ahead 13 minutes from time, but that was before Israel won their late spot-kick and Bar Buzaglo kept his nerve.
Draw date
Israel, who played in the first U17 finals in 2001/02, can now look forward to the draw in 8 April in Pisa, before the tournament itself takes place between 3-14 May.
