Tevfik takes Turkey to the brink

Goals in each half from Tevfik Köse helped Turkey take control of Group 6 in the Elite round of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship thanks to a 2-1 win against Scotland.

Both sides had won their first games in the section on Tuesday, so something had to give in Kusadasi. A point against Azerbaijan on Saturday will be enough to earn Turkey a place in this summer's finals in Italy, while Scotland finish their campaign against France the same day.
