Hungary hit the heights

Hungary 4-0 Ukraine A comfortable victory put József Both's side at the top of the Group 2 rankings with one match remaining.

Hungary powered to the top of UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying Group 2 courtesy of their goalscoring record after an impressive 4-0 win against Ukraine in Mangualde.

Early goal
József Both's side were ahead after just two minutes as Ádám Dudás beat Kostyantyn Makhnovskyy in the Ukrainian goal, and things went from bad to worse for Vadim Dord's men as Hungary were awarded a 32nd-minute penalty, which Krisztian Nemeth gratefully.

Level pegging
The second half brought little relief for Ukraine as László Szabó put Hungary 3-0 up after 68 minutes before Nemeth completed the rout with a strike four minutes into added time. Hungary are now level on points with mini-tournament hosts Portugal. They play Sweden in their last game while Ukraine take on Portugal.

Both delighted
"This is a great result because we played against a strong side," said Both. "We get better and better with each game and I i think that we can beat anyone now. We do not concede a lot of goals and our attacking play is even stronger. This is a result of a good selection system and the new coach education system as well."
