Dowidat double
Colombia struck first in Cheonan when Junior Romero headed in James RodrÃguez's 14th-minute free-kick. Germany were level 20 minutes later when Dennis Dowidat cut in from the byline and forced the ball in from an acute angle and before the break Richard Sukuta-Pasu put the European side ahead. Dowidat extended the lead in the 49th minute but Cristian Nazarith pulled one back courtesy of a 66-minute penalty. He then repeated the trick from a free-kick with just a few minutes left to make it 3-3 and claim a share of the Group F points. On Thursday Germany take on Ghana, who beat Trinidad and Tobago 4-1.
Belgium beaten
Belgium, making their U17 World Cup debut in Changwon, came back to level from two goals behind in their Group E game but could not overcome that deficit a second time in a 4-2 reverse. Ousaama Boughanmi and Khaled Ayari put Tunisia 2-0 up on 24 minutes, but Nill De Pauw and Kevin Kis swiftly struck to level. However, Youssef Msakni restored the Tunisian advantage three minutes prior to half-time and although Boughanmi was dismissed when he was booked for a second time not long after the interval, Msakni converted a penalty eleven minutes from the end. Tajikistan, who defeated the United States 4-3, are up next for Belgium on Thursday. The second round of group stage fixtures begins tomorrow with England, having drawn 1-1 with Korea DPR on Saturday, taking on a New Zealand side fresh from losing 7-0 to Brazil.
