Beretta winner
Having beaten hosts Austria and Scotland, Italy only needed a point to qualify while Georgia required victory to have any chance. Giacomo Beretta headed Italy ahead on 22 minutes to ensure he struck in all their Elite round games, and although defender Simone Benedetti received a second booking late on, the Azzurrini were seldom in danger. They now enter the finals draw on 3 April and will compete in Germany from 6-18 May.
