Germany's final friendly before hosting this summer's UEFA European Under-17 Championship ended in a goalless draw with Bulgaria's U18 side in Gera.

Ten changes
Coach Marco Pezzaiuoli changed no fewer than ten players during the course of the encounter as his team gear up for their Group B opener against Turkey in Erfurt on 6 May, and that meant a first appearance at this level for Hertha BSC Berlin's Mark Leinau. Around 500 spectators were in attendance to see a dominant performance from the home side, who twice threatened through Felix Kraus after the break, the SpVgg Greuther Fürth player missing from close range on 49 minutes before shooting wide from distance shortly after. With 22 minutes remaining, Hertha's Maximilian Zimmer then struck the crossbar as Bulgaria just about held on.
