Belarus dealt a blow to Denmark's UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualification hopes with a 2-1 win in their second Elite round Group 4 fixture.
Early goals
Denmark had begun the group with a 4-0 victory against Norway while Belarus lost 3-0 to mini-tournament hosts France. But Aleksei Legchilin and Artyom Buloychik struck in the first 15 minutes for Belarus and although Rasmus Falk Jensen pulled one back midway through the first half, Denmark were unable to force an equaliser and ended up with ten men when Dario Dumic received a second booking in added time. Denmark take on France in Sunday's decisive matches while Belarus are matched with Norway. To qualify Denmark must beat France and hope Belarus fail to win; likewise Belarus would reach the finals in Germany with a victory, provided France do not defeat Denmark.
