Full results and standings

  • Jovan Nišić scored with nine minutes to go to ensure home side Serbia beat last season's finals hosts Malta 1-0.
  • The Netherlands, who lost the 2014 final on penalties to England having won the title in 2011 and 2012, also broke the deadlock against Finland in the last nine minutes.
  • Rashaan Fernandes and Javairo Dilrosun struck for a 2-0 victory.
  • Serbia and the Netherlands both won 1-0 two days later to book progress.
  • Zehrudin Mehmedović netted in first-half added time for Serbia against Finland.
  • Shurendo Janga's 22nd-minute effort for the Netherlands, coached as last season by Maarten Stekelenburg but with none of the 2013/14 squad, saw off Malta.
  • Carel Eiting converted an 18th-minute penalty to give the Netherlands a 1-0 success over Serbia and first place despite Sherel Floranus's late red card.
  • Finland pipped Malta 2-1 for third spot but must wait to see if they end up as one of the five teams in that position with the best record against the top two in their section.
