"The team had to work extremely hard against the top countries in Europe in order to reach the final and the satisfaction was that the boys gave everything that they had. Their attitude was fantastic and it was a great learning experience for all of us. It is a good period for Spanish football as a whole, though we must separate the successes of our clubs from what we do with the national teams. If the clubs believe in these players, they have shown that they are capable of achieving great things."
• 1-4-2-3-1; patient playing forward but high-tempo ball circulation
• Composed possession play in tight areas and under pressure
• Good use of width; wingers attacking goal; full-backs making forward runs
• Hard work on transitions, interceptions, and ball-winning in middle third
• Good rotation, off-ball movement in midfield; penetrating passes
• Quick combinations in final third; Brahim Díaz linking well between lines
• Attacking philosophy, tactical discipline, strong team spirit, work ethic
