Outside chance
Friday's 2-0 defeat by England leaves France with only an outside chance of progress as the English now need only a point from their match against the Czech Republic to join Austria in the last four. "I hope the boys will show that they haven't played as they can," he said. "Honour is something important and if we are out of the tournament I hope that we would at least save our honour.
'Really disappointing'
"Our first game was good even if the Czechs equalised at the end, the England game was really disappointing and let's hope that the third one will be better and that if we get eliminated then we can at least go out with our heads held high."
Suspended duo
France are missing the suspended Emmers Fae and Jérémie Berthod, while the Austrians are likely to be without Roman Kienast and Jürgen Rauchbauer who are carrying knocks.
Davies doubtful
England defender Andrew Davies is doubtful for the meeting with the Czech Republic in Eschen-Mauren because of a toe injury, but captain John Welsh is expected to shrug off an achilles problem. Coach Stuart Baxter said: "It's in our hands now. We may make the back line a little bit more conservative but we won't play for a draw."
Bílek promises changes
The Czechs, like France, have just a point and will miss Roman Hubník and Adam Varadi, both sent off in the 4-1 defeat by Austria. Coach Michal Bílek admitted his team "didn't do very well in defence" and promised "two or three other changes."
'A lot of errors'
He added: "We made a lot of errors against Austria but we have a chance to continue and so must win against England and hope for the right result in the other game. We will play the same way - aggressive and strong in defence but we have to improve on a lot of things."
