Ukraine recover to edge Sweden in Group 8

Ukraine were 2-0 down on matchday one, but ended as Group 8 winners on goal difference after first holding Sweden before hitting five past Israel and Bulgaria.

• Ukraine clinch top spot in Group 8 after scoring five for second successive game, against hosts Israel
• Sweden also finish strongly, scoring four in last 29 minutes in 5-1 victory over Bulgaria
• Bulgaria, who end bottom of the section, hit woodwork three times against Sweden

• Ukraine build on opening win by beating Bulgaria 5-1
• Sweden win second game in front of 3,000-strong crowd, 1-0 against Israel with Viktor Nordin's added-time strike
• Israel had come from behind against Bulgaria on matchday one

We achieved the objective of the week but it was not easy. We met Ukraine in the first game and I must say a draw was a good result for us. We played really badly in the game against Israel but went through. Now we just wait for a decent draw.
