Holders Portugal will face Scotland, Turkey and Cyprus in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite round.
The draw was conducted by John Delaney, chairman of the UEFA Youth and Amateur Football Committee, and Ellery Balcombe, who received the 2018 U19 EURO Fair Play prize on behalf of last season's England team.
Elite round draw (20–26 March)
Group 1: Republic of Ireland, Russia*, Azerbaijan, Romania
Group 2: Greece, Czech Republic, England*, Denmark
Group 3: Germany, Hungary, Norway, Croatia*
Group 4: Spain, Netherlands*, Wales, Slovenia
Group 5: France*, Israel, Switzerland, Poland
Group 6: Portugal* (holders), Scotland, Turkey, Cyprus
Group 7: Italy*, Serbia, Ukraine, Belgium
• The group winners qualify to join hosts Armenia in the finals from 14 to 27 July.
- Spain have won a record seven titles.
- Portugal hope to be the first nation to retain the title since Spain in 2012.
- Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Denmark and Wales are aiming to qualify for the first time.
