Kostič names Slovenia squad

Slovenia head coach Miloš Kostič has named his final 18-man squad for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Ukraine with several key players, notably captain Rene Krhin and goalkeeper Vid Belec, missing.

Slovenia head coach Miloš Kostič has named his final 18-man squad for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Ukraine with several key players missing.

Big names missing
The coach has lost goalkeeper Vid Belec and captain Rene Krhin to club obligations at FC Internazionale Milano, while Antonio Mlinar Delamea, Robert Berič, Blaž Božič, Aljaž Struna, Matic Kotnik and Adnan Bešič are also missing. Top scorer Rajko Rep is included, however, and Kostič is refusing to be downhearted, saying: "Despite all the problems, we still have quality. I have faith in this squad. I think we can surprise our opponents."
