Hélio Sousa (Portugal):
We don't think that we have found the key for success because that key is always changing, all teams are finding something new, for the future, to have some success. The success for us is being in these final competitions – to give our best players in that generation that somebody new can have this final tournament, which is very important for their future. They arrive more confident, stronger, more able.
• 1-4-3-3 with two main blocks: Rui Pires (6) as part of defensive block, the rest attacking.
• Good balance between the lines.
• Interchanging of positions.
• Lots of flexibility with good tactical awareness of all players for each position.
• Good game organisation with each player aware of all roles and able to adapt.
• Clearly identifiable influence coming from the experience of the coach.
