Austria recovered from a goal down to record a comprehensive victory against Luxembourg in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 10.

Trailing to Chris Philipps' opener midway through the first half, Austria equalised four minutes before half-time through Raphael Holzhauser's free-kick. There was still time before the break for Andreas Weimann to put the visitors ahead, the Aston Villa FC forward finishing off an inadvertent ball into his path from Luxembourg's Pit Hess.

The lively Deni Alar increased Austria's lead six minutes after the restart courtesy of a sumptuous effort via the woodwork. Weimann, also a constant threat, rounded off the scoring in added time with a neat strike from inside the penalty area.
