Portugal 2-1 Scotland
Portugal will face Sweden in the final of the 2008 Vale do Tejo tournament after beating Scotland 2-1 in a friendly international in Abrantes.
Pelé thunderbolt
Rui Caçador's side enjoyed the best of the possession during the first half and deservedly took the lead after 33 minutes when striker Carlos Saleiro converted Antunes's free-kick on the left to score his first goal at this level. Antunes hit the post four minutes into the second half but Portugal did not have to wait long to double their advantage, FC Internazionale Milano midfielder Pelé smashing in a shot from 25 metres with 67 minutes played.
Hamill off
Scotland's task become even more difficult after 76 minutes when Jamie Hamill was sent off for a second yellow card, but the visiting side still managed to pull a goal back with nine minutes remaining, Rocco Quinn turning in the rebound after an initial save from goalkeeper Ricardo Batista. In the day's other match Ola Toivonen's 76th-minute goal proved enough for 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship hosts Sweden to beat Ukraine and advance to the final.
