February date for U21 draw

The draw for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship final round will take place on 11 February.

The draw for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship final round will take place in Frankfurt on 11 February at 12.00CET.

Two groups of four
The host nation, Germany, and the remaining seven challengers - Belarus, Croatia, Italy, Portugal, Serbia and Montenegro, Sweden, and Switzerland - will be split into two groups of four at the draw, to be held in Frankfurt's Intercontinental hotel. The top two sides from each group will advance to the semi-finals.

Seeds confirmed
Germany will be seeded in Group A, to be played in Mainz and Mannheim, while Italy are seeded in Group B, which takes place in Bochum and Oberhausen. The tournament begins on 27 May and runs until 8 June. The Czech Republic, winners of the last edition in 2002, did not qualify.
