Georgians hit for six

Ukraine 6-0 Georgia A six-goal blitz by Ukraine sent them two points clear at the top of Group 2.

Ukraine went two points clear at the top of UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 2 with an emphatic 6-0 win in Chervonograd.

Over by half-time
Ten-man Georgia were no match for a Ukrainian side for whom FC Metalist Kharkiv striker Oleksandr Gladkyy scored either side of half-time as the rampant home team racked up a six-goal lead within 68 minutes. Dmytro Vorobey opened the scoring after just seven minutes and Olexandr Aliyev, Adrian Pukanych and Maksym Trusevich were also on target.

Miserable for Georgia
Kakhaber Aladashvili's dismissal eleven minutes from time compounded a miserable night for Georgia, who are now in sixth place in the group, five points behind leaders Ukraine.
