Okuka ready for Croatia exam

Dragomir Okuka has named a 21-man Serbia and Montenegro squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-off matches against Croatia.

Trišović suspended
FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih midfielder Aleksandar Trišović will be suspended for the first leg at Belgrade's FK Crvena Zvezda stadium on 12 November but will return for the second leg in Velika Gorica four days later.

First-team experience
Okuka has included a number of players with senior international experience in Crvena Zvezda defender Dušan Basta, FK Partizan midfielder Simon Vukčević and US Lecce forward Mirko Vučinić. "Usually I am happy to let the first team have our players but we need our best squad," said the coach.

'Yugoslavian school'
OFK Beograd defenders Branislav Ivanović and Slobodan Rajković should be fit after injury, and can expect a tough test against Croatia. "We come from the same footballing school - that's the former Yugoslavian school," said Okuka.

Past glories
Serbia and Montenegro beat Croatia 3-2 en route to the European U21 Championship final in 2004, and Okuka has seven survivors from that silver medal-winning side - Vladimir Stojković, Ivanović, Milan Biševac, Vukčević, Boško Janković, Miloš Krasic and captain Danko Lazović.
