Škorpil resists Czech temptation

The Czech Republic coach Ladislav Škorpil has resisted the temptation to experiment against Italy, instead selecting a strong squad with only two new faces.

Czech Republic coach Ladislav Škorpil has resisted the temptation to experiment in Tuesday's friendly against Italy, instead selecting a strong squad with only two new faces.

New faces
Reserve goalkeeper Josef Kubásek, from second division side FC Baník Sokolov, comes in for the first time along with Dynamo České Budějovice's dead-ball specialist Ladislav Volešák. Left-back Michal Kadlec, who did not miss a single minute of action during qualifying for the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, is rested for the trip to Frosinone. "He has proven himself already and we will look at other options," said Škorpil, who has called up Michal Švec despite the midfielder suffering concussion playing for SK Slavia Praha last week.
