A UEFA Hit Squad will promote the UEFA European Under-21 Championship over the next two months by taking a variety of inflatable football games to a number of well-attended events in the Netherlands.

De Boer takes part
Supporters will be given a chance to measure both the power and precision of their shots, play small-sided games on a mini-pitch and even pit their skills against a Dutch player as the Hit Squad invariably have a famous name in toe. Tournament ambassador Frank de Boer attended the inaugural event in Heerenveen yesterday and played with local youngsters in a cage football tournament at the central Gemeenteplein.

Opening match
The roadshow in Heerenveen enabled players to sign up for the non-stop football marathon in the city which gets under way on 9 June and finishes 21 hours later to coincide with the opening match of the finals between the Netherlands and Israel at the Abe Lenstra Stadion. Arnhem, Groningen and Nijmegen will also host matches between 10 and 23 June, and will all be visited by the Hit Squad as they attend 21 events in the run up to the eagerly-awaited championship.
