Serbia's UEFA European Under-21 Championship aspirations have received a blow after key midfielder Miloš Krasić was forced to pull out of the tournament due to a thigh injury.
'Unhappy and sad'
The PFC CSKA Moskva starlet suffered the knock during the first half of Monday's 1-0 victory against Italy in Nijmegen and was replaced by Zoran Tošić. Further tests have revealed sufficient damage to rule him out of action for the next ten days so the 22-year-old will return to Moscow. "I am disappointed, unhappy and sad," he said. "This is the third Under-21 EURO for me and I was hoping to help the team. Now I must concentrate on making a quick recovery and work towards the next EURO - this time with the senior side."
