Senior quartet swell Turkish ranks

Turkey are taking no chances ahead of their UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-off decider against Belarus in Minsk on Tuesday after four players were drafted in from Fatih Terim's senior squad.

Ambition
Aydın Yılmaz, Caner Erkin, Ceyhun Gülselam and Serdar Kurtuluş will travel to Minsk today and are likely to play key roles as Turkey look to maintain their one-goal advantage from Friday's first leg. "This match is very important and we take our U21s very seriously," explained Terim, who has also lost the services of 17-year-old Batuhan Karadeniz after the Beşiktaş JK forward dislocated his shoulder in Turkey's 2-1 victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina while winning his first senior cap. Turkey's U21 side lead Belarus 1-0 going into the second leg, with a place at next year's finals in Sweden at stake.
