Mato Jajalo put in a captain's performance to blow Group 7 wide open as Croatia made amends for their opening-day defeat against Cyprus with a convincing 3-1 victory over Norway in Fredrikstad.

Kramarić seal
So disappointing in their opening UEFA European Under-21 Championship outing in June, Croatia were a renewed force against a Norway side that had picked up four points from their first two games. Jajalo broke the deadlock on 12 minutes and though Jo Inge Berget swiftly restored parity Dražen Ladić's team immediately regained the whip hand. They had to wait until ten minutes after half-time for their dominance to be reflected in the scoreline, AC Siena midfielder Jajalo beating Andre Hansen for his second goal of the night. Andrej Kramarić sealed the points eight minutes from time.
