Belarus made it two wins from two in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 10, with Mikhail Sivakov, Igor Karpovich and Dmitri Rekish on target in Baku.

First-half setback
Finals contenders in the 2009 tournament in Sweden, Belarus have made a fine start as they bid for a place in the 2011 showcase in Denmark, with a 3-2 win in Baku following a 2-1 victory at home against Austria in their opening fixture. Aaraz Abdullayev gave Azerbaijan a 26th-minute lead, but Sivakov (36) and Karpovich (43) struck to send Georgi Kondratyev's side in at the break a goal to the good. Rekish made it 3-1 on 56 minutes and was denied another a few minutes later, with Agil Mammadov saving well at his feet, and while Tural Narimanov's header from a corner brought Azerbaijan back into contention with 24 minutes to go, Belarus held on. Azerbaijan host Austria in their next game on 10 October, with Belarus visiting Scotland the same day.
