Jyske Bank has been named as an official partner of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship which Denmark will host in June.

With more than 4,000 employees and a head office in Silkeborg, Jyske Bank is the second largest independent Danish bank. Founded in 1967, Jyske Bank offers a full range of financial solutions to retail as well as small and medium-sized corporate clients

In its role as an official partner of the U21 finals, Jyske Bank and its 116 Danish branches will significantly promote the tournament, staged in Aalborg, Aarhus, Herning and Viborg from 11 to 25 June.

David Taylor, CEO of UEFA Events SA, said: "UEFA is glad to welcome Jyske Bank on board as an official partner of the U21 tournament. Jyske Bank is a leading bank in Denmark and the partnership will give the championship a significant boost by providing valuable exposure for the tournament across the country."

Frank Pedersen, director of Jyske Bank, added: "Jyske Bank is already involved in talent development through the Jyske 3-ball concept for the youngest players. This partnership extends our support to the top talents at U21 level and symbolises our pride in helping to develop tomorrow's Danish football talents."

Preparations for the finals have been ongoing since December 2008 when Denmark was announced as host nation – and with Jyske Bank on board, another piece of the jigsaw has fallen into place. The major Danish broadcaster TV 2 was named in July as UEFA's broadcast partner in the host country for the championship.

Jyske Bank has become the eighth global partner for the U21 tournament, following agreements with adidas, Carlsberg, Coca-Cola, Kia, McDonald's, Sharp and Sport Event Denmark.
