Germany made it two wins from as many games in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 1 with a comprehensive triumph against San Marino.

Rainer Adrion's side were three up at the break thanks to two goals from Pierre-Michelle Lasogga and Lewis Holtby's free-kick. After the restart, Peniel Mlapa, Daniel Ginczek, Alexander Esswein and Maximilian Beister increased the margin of victory for the 2009 champions, who tackle Belarus on Tuesday in their next qualifying assignment.

Lasogga set the wheels in motion with the opener on two minutes, the Hertha BSC Berlin striker receiving possession from Esswein and firing a shot high into Mattia Manzaroli's net. Though it was not until the 41st minute that the hosts increased their lead through Holtby, it was soon 3-0 when Lasogga turned in the FC Schalke 04 forward's cross.

Mlapa got in on proceedings two minutes into the second half with arguably the best goal of the game, a shot from the left into the top right-hand corner. Ginczek entered the fray on the hour and he was soon celebrating a goal as he tucked away Sebastian Neumann's pass.

Esswein dispatched Jan Tilman Kirchhoff's short free-kick past Manzaroli for number six midway through the half, with substitute Beister rounding off the scoring 16 minutes from time.
