Norway take their place in Wednesday's UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals draw with striker Jo Inge Berget confident the country's football future is in safe hands.

The Norwegians booked their first U21 finals appearance since 1998 courtesy of a 5-4 aggregate triumph over France in the play-offs. A key performer as Norway finished second to England in qualifying Group 8, Berget believes they are well set to make their mark in both the short and the long term.

"Perhaps it's not a typical Norwegian team, in a way," said the 22-year-old, a Norwegian title winner with Molde FK earlier this month. "Everyone wants to play football and be skilful with the ball, so it's a very modern football team. It's a good sign for Norwegian football in the future."
