Scotland and Georgia remain in contention for qualification from UEFA European Under-21 Championship Group 3 after a 1-1 draw at Saint Mirren Park.

Giorgi Chanturia struck his second goal of the campaign to open the scoring ten minutes before half-time, but Callum Paterson's late equaliser denied Georgia their second victory over Scotland in a month. The sides remain locked on seven points, three adrift of the Netherlands and Slovakia at the top of the group.

After a cagey opening, the deadlock was broken when Chanturia collected Jano Ananidze's pass on the edge of the area and weaved his way past two defenders before beating Jordan Archer. However, Alexandr Chivadze's charges were prevented from recording their second away win in the section six minutes from time as Paterson scored an overhead kick following Kenny McLean's set piece.
