Robert Hrubý's first goal at Under-21 level earned the Czech Republic another friendly victory against Ukraine.
The UEFA European Under-21 Championship hosts had to work a lot harder in Zell am See, Austria, than they did on Saturday, when they ran out 3-0 winners against the same side. Tomáš Přikryl, a scorer in that match, found the net once more, this time with a right-footed shot after 24 minutes.
Ukraine threatened with fast counterattacks, one of which resulted in the equaliser with a little over a quarter of an hour remaining, Dmytro Khlyobas running onto a loose ball and dispatching an effort past Tomáš Koubek from the edge of the penalty box.
SK Slavia Prague midfielder Hrubý, who was left out of the Jakub Dovalil's squad for the finals, landed the decisive blow five minutes from time with a strike from outside the area.
