Locadia out, Hoesen in for Netherlands

Jürgen Locadia has withdrawn from the Netherlands squad for the UEFA European U21 Championship due to a groin problem, meaning a call for AFC Ajax striker Daniel Hoesen.

Jürgen Locadia has withdrawn from the Netherlands squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship due to injury.

The PSV Eindhoven striker is suffering from a groin problem and Jong Oranje coach Cor Pot agreed to Locadia's exclusion. In his place Pot has called up 22-year-old AFC Ajax striker Daniel Hoesen, who scored on his U21 debut on 25 March as a substitute in the 4-1 defeat of Norway.

Pot's team begin their campaign in Israel against Germany on 6 June before further Group B fixtures against Spain and Russia.
