Vladimir Vusatii is the new coach of the Moldovan Under-21 team replacing Alexandru Guzun.
The 49-year-old Vusatii is vastly experienced, having led FC Zarea Balti, FC Tigrina Benderi, FC Sportul Chisinau, FC Agro Chisinau and FC Tiligul Tiraspol. His predecessor, Guzun, resigned after six games of Moldova's UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign saw them take just one point.
Vusatii will be in charge at least until the end of the campaign. His first match will be an 18 August friendly against Turkey before the final two qualifiers - the first at home against Belarus in September before a trip to the Netherlands the following month.
