Albania achieved their second victory of their UEFA European Under-21 Championship campaign by defeating Kazakhstan 3-1 tonight.
Quickfire treble
Three goals in ten first-half minutes did the damage for the home side, who opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the tenth minute. After Hamdi Salihi had been fouled in the area, Gjergj Muzaka stepped up to give Albania the lead.
Late dismissal
Defender Sokol Kacani doubled his side's advantage three minutes later, before Emiljano Veliaj made it three after 19 minutes. Kazakhstan pulled a goal back soon after, but they were forced to finish the game with ten men following a late dismissal. Albania now have eight points from ten Group 2 games, while Kazakhstan remain bottom on three points.
